Reid Produce Co. exports a wide variety of high-quality fruit and vegetable products from New Zealand, including fresh-frozen vegetables, fruit and vegetable purees, and processed vegetables and fruit, including diced, sliced, peeled and grated options.

We offer a range of packaging solutions designed to preserve the freshness and quality of our processed frozen fruit and vegetable products during transit and storage. Options include drums or 10 kg cardboard boxes, shipped in a 20- or 40-foot reefer container.

Reid Produce Co. employs advanced freezing techniques, including individual quick freezing (IQF) or block frozen, to ensure that our prepared produce maintains its nutritional value, texture, and flavour. Our state-of-the-art freezing facilities in New Zealand are equipped to handle a variety of fruit and vegetable products, ensuring they reach international markets in prime condition.

Reid Produce Co. has longstanding relationships with a large network of growers and producers throughout New Zealand’s prime growing regions. Where possible, we source our produce from within New Zealand although certain tropical fruits can be imported, depending on customer needs.

Our vegetable and fruit products are sourced throughout New Zealand, prepared to customer specification and vacuum sealed to requirement (from 500 gm packs to as required).

Our fruit and vegetable processing facility is strategically located in Hastings, Hawke’s Bay – a key horticultural region in New Zealand. This ensures that we process our products at peak freshness, maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Reid Produce Co.’s New Zealand facility boasts advanced processing capabilities  including washing, peeling, slicing, dicing, grating, and pureeing. We utilise cutting-edge technology to enable us to meet the specific vegetable and fruit processing requirements of our customers.

Our New Zealand facility processes a broad range of fruits and vegetables, depending on  what is in season. These include, but are not limited to: strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, kiwifruit, plum, feijoa, apricot, potato, carrot, kumara (sweet potato), squash, pumpkin, onion, mushroom, broccoli, cauliflower and more, as required. Where possible, we are committed to offering products that are grown in New Zealand’s fertile soils, ensuring the highest quality and flavour.

Our processed fruit and vegetable products are exported from Napier Port, in New Zealand, which is approximately 20 km from our processing facility. Napier Port provides efficient and reliable access to international markets, ensuring timely delivery of our produce.

Reid Produce Co. serves a diverse range of export markets throughout the Asia–Pacific region including, but not limited to, Australia, China, Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan. At Reid Produce Co., we adhere to strict food safety and quality assurance protocols to ensure that our fresh and processed fruit and vegetable products meet the highest standards. We have the following certifications:

  • Custom Food Control Plan, Registered with Ministry of Primary Industries (NZ)
  • Custom Food Control Plan complies with Food Act NZ 2014, as verified by AsureQuality Ltd
  • Verified Organic Processor/Handler by AsureQuality Ltd: organic status and market eligibility are product-dependent
  • Suitable as Halal
  • Suitable as Kosher

Our quality control measures include rigorous testing at every stage of production, from raw product to final packaging, to ensure our products are of premium quality.
